AES, at the request of the AES Fellowship Program Directors Committee, successfully petitioned ABPN and obtained this extension to further facilitate the establishment of additional epilepsy training programs. David Ficker, MD, chair of the Committee noted, "we have made significant progress in the development of ACGME-approved training programs in epilepsy, and this request was made to allow ample time for all program directors interested in qualifying for certification to prepare and sit for the exam."
We’ll share with you our audited year end financial reports in a few months, but I am happy to report that AES is in sound shape, thanks to the careful fiduciary management of our Board, your commitment and investment in the Society through your membership and participation in the Annual Meeting and other programs, and the generosity of both our individual donors and corporate sponsors and grantors
Over the coming months our Board leadership, Councils and Committees, and staff will be working to develop the plans that will support each of these strategies
In this role Janice will manage governance and administration projects and activities for AES and will support the Board of Directors and Board committees and the executive office
