Having trained under Tallie Baram MD PhD and Pauline Filipeck MD, it is no wonder that I found my niche in Epilepsy and Autism. Trained at UCI, Vested with Southern Ca Permanente Medical Group, now I am in Private Practice (it can be done!) in Orange County, CA
Private practice is best with a good manager, mine left business world after his daughter became seizure free through the great work of Dr. Mathern. He and I have worked together to make continuous video monitored EEGs able to be done for all children without sedation and in the child's home yielding hospital inpatient VTM quality results. Now that I can look at 24 hour studies, I am finding more ESES and other epilepsies, esp in children with developmental disabilities....which is fueling my continued passion for working with children with both developmental disabilities and epilepsy. (I have studies read by board certified neurophysiologists and over read them.)
I hope my unique approach continues to be enjoyable for me, and may be of some assistance to others.
